Visa said on Oct. 15 that the stablecoin capabilities built into its Visa Direct payout network have moved from pilot programs into commercial operation. The first live implementation comes from Inyo Global, a Visa Direct processor that has launched stablecoin prefunding for cross-border payouts, allowing businesses to use USDC to fund transfers on a near real-time basis. According to Visa’s announcement, Inyo Global serves remittance firms, fintech companies, banks, and payment providers. The company has integrated the feature into its own platform, where clients can prefund cross-border payouts through existing Inyo APIs instead of relying only on traditional treasury funding windows. The service is available to eligible Visa Direct clients and partners, with access depending on qualification and region. Visa has been building toward this launch through a series of pilots. The Block previously reported that the company began testing stablecoin prefunding in September 2025 with support for USDC and EURC, then tested USDC payouts in November 2025 so eligible recipients could receive stablecoins directly. In August this year, Visa also announced a partnership with zerohash to support stablecoin funding and payouts through Visa Direct. The Block separately reported that Visa and Lloyds completed a seven-day USDC trial that settled $750,000 in payments, with funds reaching Visa within one hour, including over the weekend.

Visa said on Oct. 15 that the stablecoin functionality inside its enterprise payout network, Visa Direct, has moved from pilot stage to commercial operation. In a company release, Visa said Inyo Global is the first Visa Direct processor to put stablecoin prefunding into live commercial use, giving businesses a way to prefund cross-border payouts with USDC.

Inyo Global becomes the first live rollout

Visa said Inyo Global, a payments infrastructure provider, serves remittance companies, fintech firms, banks and payment providers. The company has integrated the feature into its platform, letting clients prefund cross-border payouts sent through Visa Direct with USDC on a near real-time basis rather than relying only on traditional funding windows.

The service is open to eligible Visa Direct clients and partners, though actual availability depends on qualification and region.

Through a single integration, Inyo’s platform offers onboarding, fraud prevention and compliance, pay-ins, and domestic as well as cross-border payouts through Visa Direct in more than 180 countries. Robson Dantas, co-founder and chief product and technology officer at Inyo Global, said the setup gives clients another way to fund payouts around the clock, 「and through the Inyo API they already use」.

Visa has already tested stablecoin prefunding and payouts

Visa launched two Visa Direct pilot programs in 2025 covering stablecoin prefunding and payouts. According to The Block, the company started testing stablecoin prefunding in September 2025, initially with support for USDC and EURC. In November that year, it also tested USDC payouts, allowing eligible recipients to receive stablecoins directly.

In August this year, Visa also announced a partnership with zerohash to support stablecoin funding and payouts through Visa Direct. The Block separately reported that earlier this month, Visa ran a seven-day USDC trial with Lloyds in the UK, settling $750,000 in payment volume. Funds reached Visa within one hour, including on weekends.

Visa says stablecoins are moving toward broader adoption

Vira Platonova, global head of Visa Direct, said: "The next chapter for stablecoins is mainstream adoption. Over the last few years, we have worked with a number of partners and clients to explore how these technologies can improve money movement, and those efforts are now turning into live deployments, with Inyo Global as the first one."

Visa said Platonova is also scheduled to speak in several sessions at the Money20/20 USA conference next week on how stablecoins are changing global money movement.
