WebX 2026, the fourth edition of the Japanese Web3 conference, has concluded after a two-day event that drew 13,641 attendees from more than 90 countries and featured over 70 side events, according to ABMedia.

The conference took place as Japan’s digital-asset regulatory framework continues to change. Discussions at the event focused on yen stablecoins, tokenization adoption by major banks, and growing institutional confidence tied to industry expansion.
ABMedia said those talks were led by policymakers, regulators, institutional leaders, founders and technology innovators. Named participants included Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi, Finance Minister Katayama Satsuki, Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Ryosei Akazawa, Bitmine Chairman Tom Lee, Ondo Finance Chief Executive Officer Ian De Bode, Coinbase strategy executive John D Agostino, and Visa Asia-Pacific head of digital currency Nischint Sanghavi.
Program highlights at WebX 2026
The main conference featured speaker stages, workshops and exhibition areas. Its agenda covered stablecoins, AI, tokenization and digital infrastructure, with sessions spread across the CRYL Stage, Binance Stage and Limitless Stage, alongside hands-on workshops and interactive exhibition space.
WebX also ran a stamp rally. Attendees who completed the activity were eligible for a guaranteed-prize lucky draw and had a chance to receive limited-edition WebX merchandise.
In the business networking area, participants were able to schedule one-on-one meetings through the Bizzabo event app to connect with potential partners, investors and industry peers.
On-site experiences and related events
Another feature was the WebX 2026 memory wall, decorated with Japanese festival elements including wisteria flowers and traditional umbrellas. Attendees could take complimentary instant photos there. The wall used honeycomb board made from 100% recycled paper, with support from the Tokyo Convention & Visitors Bureau.
On the first evening, WebX hosted a private networking dinner for VIP and speaker pass holders, giving industry thought leaders and senior decision-makers time to talk over dinner and drinks.
Outside the conference program, attendees could also enjoy free massages during breaks and take part in a traditional Japanese tea ceremony with matcha. The two-day event closed with an official WebX 2026 party at Zouk Tokyo.
Sponsors and the 2027 venue plan
Title sponsors for WebX 2026 were Bitbank, Inc., bitFlyer, Inc., BitLending, eole Inc., SBI Holdings Inc., Simplex, UPCX and Advasa Holdings, Inc.
Organizers said WebX will return on Aug. 25-26, 2027, and move to Tokyo Big Sight, a venue nearly 1.8 times the size of this year’s site. ABMedia added that pre-registration for WebX 2027 will open on www.webx-asia.com.
