Crypto markets stayed broadly positive over the past week, with both major assets and smaller-cap tokens mostly in the green. Even so, the rally was uneven. Some tokens doubled on the back of narrative momentum and capital inflows, some tracked the wider market at a steadier pace, and a small number moved lower.

Using weekly performance data for the top 100 tokens on CoinGecko, Odaily selected representative gainers and losers and grouped them into three buckets. All figures in the report were current as of Aug. 26.
Top gainers: tokens up more than 50% in a week
This group was dominated by narrative-driven assets. Bitcoin ecosystem plays, Meme tokens, and platform-linked names rotated higher and outperformed the broader market.

- STX (Stacks): A Bitcoin Layer 2 network that uses mechanisms such as sBTC to bring smart contracts and DeFi to the Bitcoin mainnet. Odaily described it as one of the core assets in the “financialization of Bitcoin” theme. STX traded at $0.260143 with a market cap of about $484 million and rose 121.2% on the week, making it the biggest surprise leader and the only non-Meme token among the very top performers.
- CASHCAT (Cash Cat): The first breakout Meme token on Robinhood Chain, Robinhood’s in-house Layer 2. Its name borrows from “Cash Cat,” an early Robinhood branding concept that was never adopted. Odaily said the token spread quickly through community storytelling and platform traffic. It traded at $0.191639 with a market cap of about $190 million, up 102.2% for the week.
- ENA (Ethena): A synthetic dollar protocol that issues the stablecoin USDe through a delta-neutral hedging strategy, and one of the leading projects in the on-chain yield-bearing stablecoin segment. ENA traded at $0.144821 with a market cap of about $1.42 billion, gaining 74.4%.
- PENGU (Pudgy Penguins): A token derived from the well-known Pudgy Penguins NFT collection, turning its IP and community culture into a tradable asset. Odaily framed it as a representative “NFT-to-Meme” play. PENGU traded at $0.00961031 with a market cap of about $604 million, up 59.3%.
- TRUMP (Official Trump): An official Meme token themed around U.S. President Donald Trump. Odaily said its moves are closely tied to political attention and related headlines. TRUMP traded at $2.23 with a market cap of about $559 million, also up 59.3%, level with PENGU.
- ZEC (Zcash): A long-standing privacy coin that uses zk-SNARKs to support shielded transactions and was among the earliest public-chain assets in crypto to offer optional privacy. ZEC traded at $782.83 with a market cap of about $13.23 billion, gaining 53.6%. Odaily said it has drawn renewed market attention as the privacy theme rebounds.
- PUMP (Pump.fun): The token of Solana’s largest Meme coin launch platform, which Odaily said controls nearly all new-token debut traffic on Solana. PUMP traded at $0.0045554 with a market cap of about $1.77 billion, up 53.3%.
- MELANIA (Melania Meme): A “First Lady” themed Meme token launched in the same period as TRUMP, with price action that usually moves in tandem with TRUMP. MELANIA traded at $0.105678 with a market cap of about $106 million, up 51%.
- PEPE: One of the leading Meme tokens built around the Pepe frog image and a long-time top-cap name in the Meme segment. Odaily called it one of the indicators of market sentiment. PEPE traded at about $0.00000385 with a market cap of about $1.62 billion, up 49.3%.
Moderate gainers: weekly gains of 10% to 20%
Unlike the first bucket, which was heavily driven by market narratives, this tier was made up more of fundamentals-oriented assets and infrastructure tokens. The gains were less dramatic, but Odaily said they better reflected continued capital allocation into utility-focused sectors. Ethereum-linked project tokens were mostly in this range, and so were some older altcoins that tend to rotate during major market cycles.
- LDO (Lido DAO): The largest liquid staking protocol on Ethereum. Its stETH token is the de facto standard for liquid staking on-chain. LDO traded at $0.367106 with a market cap of about $306 million, up 20.7%.
- WLD (Worldcoin): The “proof of personhood” project co-founded by Sam Altman, using iris scans for on-chain identity verification. Odaily identified it as a representative AI-and-crypto narrative asset. WLD traded at $0.386805 with a market cap of about $1.40 billion, up 20.2%.
- MORPHO: A decentralized lending protocol that optimizes peer-to-peer matching on top of lending pools such as Aave and Compound to improve capital efficiency. MORPHO traded at $2.51 with a market cap of about $1.65 billion, up 19.2%.
- LINEA: An Ethereum zkEVM Layer 2 launched by Consensys and positioned as a scaling solution with high compatibility across the Ethereum ecosystem. LINEA traded at $0.00248024 with a market cap of about $60.83 million, up 19.1%.
- NEAR (NEAR Protocol): A sharded Layer 1 blockchain that has recently leaned into the “on-chain AI” narrative and is trying to position itself as an execution layer for AI agents. NEAR traded at $1.88 with a market cap of about $2.46 billion, up 18.4%.
- HBAR (Hedera): A distributed ledger network based on Hashgraph consensus and governed by a corporate council, with a long-standing focus on enterprise use cases and compliance-oriented scenarios. HBAR traded at $0.078384 with a market cap of about $3.44 billion, up 17.4%.
- ASTER: A perpetual DEX token backed by YZi Labs, focused on hidden orders, MEV resistance, and cross-chain trading. Odaily called it one of Hyperliquid’s main competitors. ASTER traded at $0.703226 with a market cap of about $1.90 billion, up 16.9%.
- ETHFI (Ether.fi): A liquid restaking protocol built on EigenLayer that lets users stake ETH for yield while keeping liquidity. ETHFI traded at $0.560096 with a market cap of about $570 million, up 16.6%.
- BNB: The platform token of Binance, the world’s largest centralized exchange by Odaily’s description. It serves multiple functions including trading fee discounts and ecosystem governance, and remains the largest exchange token by market value. BNB traded at $696.84 with a market cap of about $92.81 billion, up 15.8%.
- ONDO: A protocol focused on tokenizing real-world assets, including tokenized U.S. Treasury products and other traditional financial assets brought on-chain. ONDO traded at $0.367517 with a market cap of about $1.79 billion, up 13.2%.
Underperformers: tokens that fell against a rising market
While most of the market moved higher, a small number of tokens declined. Odaily said those drops were tied to fading project narratives or short-term capital outflows.

- JELLYJELLY (Jelly-My-Jelly): A Solana Meme token created by a Venmo co-founder and linked to the video-sharing app JellyJelly. The token became widely known after being used in manipulative trading against the Hyperliquid treasury in early 2025, according to Odaily. JELLYJELLY traded at $0.054237 with a market cap of about $54.23 million, down 3.5% on the week.
- WLFI (World Liberty Financial): A DeFi project token associated with the Trump family that previously drew heavy attention because of its political connections. WLFI traded at $0.058213 with a market cap of about $1.85 billion, down 5.1%.
- JTO (Jito): A leading Solana MEV infrastructure and liquid staking protocol token. JitoSOL is one of the main liquid staking receipts on Solana. JTO traded at $0.521896 with a market cap of about $268 million, down 5.2%.
- LAB: A multi-chain trading terminal token that combines spot, limit-order, and derivatives trading access across Solana, Ethereum, and BNB Chain. Odaily said the token had previously surged several-fold in a short period because of low circulating supply. The latest drop was linked in the report to heavier selling pressure after public-sale unlocks and market trust concerns triggered by insider transfers. LAB traded at $0.067195 with a market cap of about $52.00 million, down 13%, the biggest loss in this review.
Where the market focus went
Odaily’s breakdown shows that the biggest weekly winners were concentrated in Meme tokens and strong narrative trades, especially in the Bitcoin ecosystem, Robinhood Chain, and Trump-linked token themes. The second tier was led more by lending, restaking, RWA, and enterprise-chain names. Those gains were smaller, but the move was steadier.
