A whale tracked by EmberCN has added to a short position in Bitcoin while still sitting on a large unrealized gain in Ethereum. According to the monitoring update cited by BlockBeats on Sept. 28, the trader had opened a long position of 20,000 ETH at an average entry price of $1,936 near the start of the current market move. That ETH position is now showing an unrealized profit of $14.06 million. On the same day, the whale increased its bearish bet on BTC by shorting 650 BTC at $84,057, bringing the notional value of that position to $53.68 million. The BTC short is currently showing an unrealized profit of $950,000. The report did not disclose the identity of the address beyond saying it was tracked by EmberCN.
