Blockchain analytics platform Bubblemaps said a whale used two linked wallets to buy 0.28% of the total supply of Artificial Inu (AI) between Sept. 3 and Sept. 17, spending a combined $991,000. The purchases were made over a period that ended on Sept. 17, the same day the token reached its all-time high market capitalization of $450 million.
After hitting that peak, AI fell 70%, according to the data cited by BlockBeats. The whale has not moved the position so far, leaving the address cluster with an unrealized loss of about $600,000 at the time of reporting.
The report did not identify the holder, but said the activity was traced across two associated wallets. The figures point to a large bet placed near the top of the token’s run, with the position still intact despite the subsequent decline.
