BlockBeats reported on Aug. 21 that the whale known as "Set 10 Big Targets" kept posting updates on X about his latest trade path and lessons. He said he had wanted to buy back a long position he had previously closed, placing limit orders in the 70,500 to 71,500 range, while also posting a short order near 76,000. The long order never filled. The short did, and the price then kept climbing above 79,000. He said the mistake was not his medium- to long-term view, but underestimating the strength of the rally and trying to bet on a pullback too early. He also said his profit is still roughly 70 million.
BlockBeats said on Aug. 21 that the whale known as "Set 10 Big Targets" kept posting updates on X about his trading path and lessons from the current round of trades. He said he wanted to buy back a long position he had previously closed. To do that, he placed limit orders in the 70,500 to 71,500 range. At the same time, he also placed a short order near 76,000. His plan was straightforward: if the price first pulled back to 70,500 to 71,500, he would re-enter the long. If it did not pull back and instead quickly pushed to around 76,000, he would try to trade a post-rally correction. That long order never filled. The short at 76,000 did fill, and the price then kept moving higher, rising above 79,000. Looking back, he said the real mistake was not his medium- to long-term view. He said he underestimated the strength of the rally and moved too early to bet on a pullback. Even after the latest losing short, he said his profit is still about 70 million.
