WhiteBIT has signed a five-year agreement with FC Barcelona, extending its role as the club’s official cryptocurrency platform partner. The deal reaches beyond the men’s football team and also includes the women’s team, the basketball team, and projects led by Barça Innovation Hub.

Partnership expands beyond sponsorship visibility

According to the announcement, the agreement is not limited to brand exposure. Both sides said they want to build practical and scalable crypto solutions for the sports industry, with planned initiatives centered on fan experience, digital education, and interactive technologies.

FC Barcelona CEO Manel del Río said the renewal supports the club’s strategy of forming alliances with global industry leaders. In his words, “This renewal highlights the strength and appeal of our brand, as well as our ability to connect with innovative industries.” He also pointed to the strategic potential of the cryptocurrency sector in the years ahead.

WhiteBIT ties the deal to everyday crypto adoption

Volodymyr Nosov, Chairman and Founder of W Group, the owner of WhiteBIT, said the company’s core mission is to make technology accessible to everyone. He said WhiteBIT and FC Barcelona will keep building experiences that integrate crypto into daily life for millions of users around the world.

The companies said the projects developed under the partnership are expected to deepen the link between global fan communities and digital technologies. The agreement also stands out for aiming to create more concrete use cases for cryptocurrencies and digital finance inside the sports business, rather than stopping at a conventional sponsorship arrangement.

Turkish users may face feature limits under local rules

WhiteBIT operates in Turkey through its local subsidiary, WhiteBIT TR. The announcement noted that some exclusive features connected to the FC Barcelona and WhiteBIT agreement may not be available to users in Turkey because of local regulations. Services offered by WhiteBIT TR are structured to comply with Turkish law, which means some global products and offerings may be restricted or unavailable in that market.

The scope of products and services may also change depending on licensing processes and regulatory developments. The two sides said the partnership will adapt to industry innovation and regulatory shifts so that future rollouts stay aligned with local legal requirements and market conditions.

For FC Barcelona, the deal adds to the club’s push into technology-driven business areas, including digital finance. For WhiteBIT, the agreement strengthens its position as a technology partner in professional sports. The two organizations said they plan to launch initiatives focused on education, interaction, and innovation, using blockchain to connect sports with digital finance.
