WhiteLine Daily, published by the WuBlockchain team, outlined several AI infrastructure and application developments in its latest daily roundup, covering Tencent, Oracle, Micron, HPE, Vultr, and ElevenLabs.
Tencent reportedly signs a $7 billion overseas compute lease with Oracle
According to the Financial Times, citing people familiar with the matter, Tencent has signed its largest overseas computing lease agreement with Oracle, renting about 100,000 advanced AI chips across multiple Oracle data centers in Southeast Asia.
The report said the contract runs for five years and is worth about $7 billion in total. Tencent is also required to prepay about 30%, or roughly $2.1 billion. Neither Oracle nor Tencent had publicly responded to the report at the time referenced in the roundup.
WhiteLine Daily said the arrangement shows how long-term cloud leasing is becoming an alternative for companies that cannot directly procure advanced chips, with Tencent using a five-year contract and a roughly $2.1 billion prepayment to secure overseas capacity.
Micron reports FY2026 Q4 revenue of $54.23 billion as long-term commitments climb to $32 billion
U.S. memory chip maker Micron reported FY2026 Q4 revenue of $54.23 billion, up about 31% from the previous quarter and compared with $11.32 billion in the same period last year. Its non-GAAP gross margin rose from 84.9% in the prior quarter to 87%, while adjusted net profit reached $38.4 billion.
In its Core Data Center segment, revenue came in at $18 billion, up about 56% quarter over quarter, and gross margin increased again to 90%.
For FY2027 Q1, Micron expects revenue of $61.5 billion, plus or minus $1.5 billion, above market expectations of about $57 billion. The company also said it expects revenue to increase sequentially in every quarter of FY2027.
Customer commitments for future supply also expanded. Funding commitments tied to long-term supply agreements rose from $22 billion in June to $32 billion, with most of that backed by cash deposits. Related remaining performance obligations increased from about $100 billion to $150 billion. Micron also said most of its 2027 HBM output has already been contracted.
WhiteLine Daily’s one-line take was that data center gross margin has already reached 90%, and next-quarter revenue guidance still sits about 8% above market expectations, showing that the current memory upcycle is translating into both revenue growth and higher margins, not just shipment expansion.
HPE lands a $1.2 billion Vultr order for AMD Helios
HPE said it received a $1.2 billion order from cloud infrastructure company Vultr to deploy AMD Helios AI Rack by HPE systems in Vultr’s U.S. data centers.
The order is the first customer win for HPE’s new AMD Helios system. The platform also uses scale-up network switching hardware and software developed by HPE specifically for AI clusters to support model training and inference.
On the same day, HPE raised its growth outlook for its Networking business, saying FY2027 revenue growth is expected to reach the high-teens to low-20s. It also lifted its long-term revenue CAGR outlook for FY2026 through FY2029 to the high-teens.
WhiteLine Daily said the $1.2 billion Vultr order moves AMD Helios from product launch into its first large-scale commercial deployment and gives HPE’s in-house AI networking products an initial round of customer validation.
ElevenLabs doubles its valuation to $22 billion in eight months
AI voice company ElevenLabs completed a $300 million employee share tender offer that values the company at $22 billion, double the $11 billion valuation attached to its Series D round in February this year.
The transaction was mainly designed to provide liquidity for employees and existing shareholders. It was not a new $300 million fundraising round for ElevenLabs.
Usage of ElevenAgents also increased sharply over the same period. The company’s AI agent now handles more than 15 million conversations a week, about three times the level seen in February. Use cases listed in the roundup include refunds, insurance renewals, mobile plan changes, and medical appointment booking. ElevenAgents’ ARR also increased by more than three times over the same period.
WhiteLine Daily said the valuation increase was supported by faster growth in actual usage and revenue, with weekly agent conversations and ARR both rising more than threefold while the company’s valuation doubled over eight months.
Main thread of the day
The roundup concluded that Tencent locked in overseas compute with a five-year agreement, Micron lifted Q4 revenue to $54.23 billion while long-term commitments rose to $32 billion and were mostly backed by cash deposits, HPE secured the first $1.2 billion Helios order, and ElevenLabs saw agent usage rise to three times its February level. In WhiteLine Daily’s view, long-term contracts, cash deposits, and real usage are offering a more direct read on AI demand than product launches alone.
