Crypto analyst Willy Woo stated that Bitcoin and US stocks are significantly decoupling, a pattern last seen in 2015 before the 2017 bull run. He highlighted historical parallels: BTC entered a bull market in 2015-2016 while stocks were weak, and soared further in 2017 when stocks turned bullish. He sees current BTC liquidity strengthening and stocks showing fragility.

On September 6, crypto analyst Willy Woo said Bitcoin and US stocks are breaking apart, with the last similar split happening in 2015, before the 2017 Bitcoin bull run.

Woo looked back at the data. In 2014, stocks were still in a bull market while BTC went through a bear market that had nothing to do with equities. Then in 2015-2016, stocks were weak and choppy, but BTC moved into a bull market. And in 2017, when stocks turned bullish, BTC ripped higher again. He thinks the setup now looks a lot like that period: BTC liquidity is getting stronger, while stocks are starting to look fragile.
