Market maker Wintermute has continued to add funds to Hyperliquid and expand its bearish positioning, according to monitoring data cited by BlockBeats from Onchain Lens on Aug. 24. The firm’s total short exposure on the platform has increased from $146 million to $191 million, a rise of about $44.58 million.
Its five largest short positions are currently concentrated in major tokens. ETH accounts for about $53.02 million, followed by BTC at roughly $30.66 million, SOL at about $22.62 million, HYPE at around $11.43 million, and XRP at about $10.19 million. The monitored address is also showing an unrealized loss of about $5.85 million.
Onchain Lens also found that Wintermute has been moving large amounts of funds to centralized exchanges including Binance. The size of its perpetual futures positions on CEX platforms has not yet been determined, leaving part of the broader positioning still under observation.
