The Wyoming Stable Token Commission has adopted Chainlink Proof of Reserve to verify reserves backing Frontier Stable Token (FRNT), according to a post from Chainlink. The setup is intended to give onchain visibility into reserve data for the state-backed stablecoin and, as described by Chainlink, makes FRNT the first stablecoin issued by a U.S. public entity to publish verified reserve data onchain. Chainlink said the transparency standard goes beyond the requirements of the GENIUS Act. The system combines independent oversight with automated onchain verification and is designed to deliver frequent reserve disclosures that can be checked by users, institutions, regulators, and other market participants. The commission is also working on Chainlink Proof of Reserve Secure Mint, which would only allow new FRNT issuance when verified reserves are equal to or greater than the token’s total supply, a safeguard aimed at preventing unlimited mint attacks. Foresight News had previously reported that the commission migrated FRNT from LayerZero to Chainlink’s Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol, or CCIP, and fully retired the LayerZero token implementation after a full security review.

The Wyoming Stable Token Commission has adopted Chainlink Proof of Reserve to provide reserve transparency verification for Frontier Stable Token, or FRNT, according to a post published by Chainlink.

Chainlink said FRNT is now the first stablecoin issued by a U.S. public entity to publish verified reserve data onchain. It also said the token’s transparency standard exceeds the requirements set by the GENIUS Act.

The reserve framework combines independent oversight with automated onchain verification. Under the arrangement described by Chainlink, reserve data will be disclosed at a high frequency, allowing users, institutions, regulators, and other market participants to independently verify the asset backing.

The commission is also advancing Chainlink Proof of Reserve Secure Mint. Under that mechanism, new FRNT tokens can only be minted when verified reserves are equal to or greater than the token’s total supply, a control meant to prevent unlimited mint attacks.

Foresight News previously reported that the Wyoming Stable Token Commission migrated FRNT from LayerZero to Chainlink’s Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol, or CCIP. After completing a full security review, the commission fully shut down the LayerZero token implementation, leaving CCIP as FRNT’s cross-chain infrastructure.
