X Expands Incentives for Long-Form Content
X Creators has announced a $1 million reward for the best long-form article in its upcoming revenue-sharing cycle, signaling a stronger push to support original, high-impact content on the platform. The initiative highlights X’s broader effort to build a more robust ecosystem around long-form publishing and monetization.
The company said the winning article will be determined based on its exposure in the home timelines of verified X users. That makes distribution a key part of the competition, alongside originality and substance, as creators will need both quality and reach to stand out.
Eligibility Rules and Content Standards
X Creators set several conditions for participation. Eligible submissions must be original and contain at least 1,000 words. In addition, the program is currently open only to U.S. users, limiting the competition geographically at this stage.
The platform also stated that content deemed violative, hateful, fraudulent, or manipulative will be disqualified. The rules suggest that while X is increasing financial incentives for creators, it is also reinforcing its moderation and content-quality standards for this program.
Articles Feature Opens to All Premium Users
Alongside the prize announcement, X Creators said its Articles feature is now available to all Premium users. The move broadens access to long-form publishing tools on the platform, giving more subscribers the ability to publish extended written content directly on X.
Looking ahead, the company said it plans to further improve the ecosystem for creating and monetizing long-form content in 2026. Taken together, the prize, expanded feature access, and future platform plans show X is investing more aggressively in attracting and retaining long-form creators.
