Xiaomi has unveiled its latest MiMo-X series of AI models, with the first two models — MiMo-X-Pro-Preview and MiMo-X-Flash-Preview — now entering preview testing. According to a BlockBeats report, the company launched the Xiaomi MiMo Desktop application as the entry point for users to experience the new models. Invited users can access the models for free, but with limited time and quota.
Xiaomi has not yet disclosed the model parameters, context length, benchmark scores, or API availability. The MiMo-X series is designed for professional use cases including complex reasoning, multi-agent collaboration, large-scale programming projects, Office productivity, web and UI design, video editing, 3D generation, music composition, and computer control.
MiMo Desktop can directly read documents, spreadsheets, images, and videos. It automatically breaks down tasks, calls tools and a browser, and delivers editable outputs like PPT, web pages, and apps. Large tasks can be split among multiple agents for parallel execution.
Xiaomi had previously hinted at the launch of a MiMo desktop app and new models during its earnings call three weeks ago. The simultaneous release of the desktop application and the models marks the first public preview of the MiMo-X series.
