MEXC is set to list the XYZ token on January 29 at 13:00 UTC via the XYZ/USDT trading pair, marking the first exchange debut for XYZVerse's native token at an initial price of $0.10. The exchange also rolled out a 50,000 USDT reward pool to incentivize early trading activity.
The listing comes as Bitcoin has traded below $100,000 for nearly two months, pushing liquidity away from large-cap altcoins. Investors are increasingly targeting newer listings with clear narratives and defined community entry points, a trend that XYZVerse aims to capitalize on with its sports and esports ecosystem.
Presale Momentum: From $0.0001 to $0.007
XYZVerse raised approximately $16 million through a multi-stage presale, with token price climbing from $0.0001 in early rounds to $0.007 at the final stage. The tiered structure indicates sustained demand, as each round saw buyers willing to pay a higher price.
The token has a fixed total supply of 100 billion. Less than 18% was allocated to the presale; the rest is reserved for liquidity, development, marketing, and community incentives. Over 17% of tokens are earmarked for long-term deflationary burns, supplemented by buybacks from platform revenue. At launch, only about 0.5% of the supply will be circulating, with gradual unlocks to avoid sudden sell pressure.
Esports as an On-Ramp: CS2 League Goes Live
Rather than building around a single game, XYZVerse created a framework for multiple esports titles. Its first live example is a Counter-Strike 2 league featuring ten teams — composed of crypto influencers, project founders, and community members selected via an on-chain lottery. An Access Pass priced at 100 USDT lets users vote on maps, make predictions, watch replays, and even play alongside public figures.
This model converts passive fans into active on-chain participants. XYZVerse plans to expand to other games and sports, building a marketplace and on-chain features that extend beyond any single title.
Market Timing: Liquidity Returns, Fresh Narratives Win
With liquidity recovering from 2025 lows, the current market favors projects with small initial circulating supply and deflationary tokenomics. XYZVerse's roadmap emphasizes gradual ecosystem growth over short-term hype, aiming to capture investors seeking alternatives to stagnant large-cap assets.
