Yunfeng Financial, in which Jack Ma holds an indirect stake, said it has been added to the list of Hong Kong stocks eligible for trading under the Shanghai-Hong Kong Stock Connect and Shenzhen-Hong Kong Stock Connect programs, effective Sept. 7, 2026. The company said the inclusion will allow qualified mainland Chinese investors to buy and sell its shares listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange through domestic securities firms, giving mainland investors a more convenient channel to access the stock.
The company had previously disclosed that it bought a cumulative 10,000 ETH in the open market at a total investment cost of $44 million, including fees and expenses. Yunfeng Financial said the purchases were funded by the group’s internal cash reserves, and the ETH holdings were recorded as investment assets in its financial statements. It also said it plans to explore adding other mainstream digital assets, including Bitcoin (BTC) and Solana (SOL), to its strategic reserve assets.
