Funding & Valuation Overview
Zhipingfang, an embodied AI company based in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, has completed a financing round of nearly 5 billion yuan (approx. $690 million), pushing its post-money valuation to over 20 billion yuan (approx. $2.75 billion). This makes it the first unicorn in the region to reach the 20-billion-yuan valuation mark. The funds will be used for technology R&D, team expansion, and commercial deployment.
Core Technology: Open-Source Brain-Inspired VLA Model
Zhipingfang has developed a fully in-house end-to-end VLA (Vision-Language-Action) stack and recently launched NeuroVLA, claimed to be the world's first open-source brain-inspired VLA model. NeuroVLA mimics the hierarchical structure of biological neural systems, enabling coordinated control across the cerebral cortex, cerebellum, and spinal cord. This allows robots to better adapt to complex environments and execute tasks with higher precision.
Commercialization & Moat
The company has already deployed its technology across high-value scenarios including semiconductor manufacturing, biopharmaceuticals, and new retail. Zhipingfang's competitive moat is built on a 'Model x Hardware x Scenario' trifecta, enabling vertical integration and accelerated go-to-market in key industries.
