Monad Integrates Privacy Layer Unlink, Enabling Confidential Onchain Capital Operations for Institutions
Monad Foundation announced the launch of Unlink, a zero-knowledge privacy layer, on its mainnet. Deployed as a smart contract, Unlink allows institutions to deposit, transfer, and use ERC-20 tokens on Monad without exposing balances, counterparties, or transaction history. The integration leverages Monad's high performance (10,000 TPS, 400ms block time, near-zero fees) to avoid performance penalties typically associated with privacy-preserving systems. Privacy is preserved while maintaining full composability with existing DeFi protocols like Aave, Uniswap, and Curve, which together hold $350M in TVL. Unlink also supports scoped audit views for compliance. This launch positions Monad as a leading platform for confidential onchain finance, including private DeFi and institutional payments.
