According to Onchain Lens monitoring cited by ChainCatcher, a newly created wallet labeled “0xaea” deposited 6.68 million USDC into Hyperliquid and opened 20x short positions in BTC, SOL and ETH.

Taiko said on X that its chain state validation mechanism has been compromised, making the security assumptions of all bridges deployed on Taiko unreliable.
