Liquid Mercury Subsidiary Closes Initial Funding Round, Burns 563M MERC Tokens
Liquid Mercury's subsidiary ACQUA1 has completed the initial closing of its MERC funding round, burning 563 million MERC tokens on September 2. Qualified investors can exchange 10 MERC for one non-voting Class B unit of ACQUA1. ACQUA1 operates the Lab Company initiative, providing technology licensing to enterprises tokenizing real-world assets. Per the agreement, ACQUA1 must burn all MERC received within five business days of the closing. The company plans subsequent closings on October 30 and December 31.
