Arbitrum2026-10-02 21:58:29Arbitrum halts new Stylus contract activations on One and Nova in emergency upgradeArbitrum’s Security Council carried out an emergency upgrade on Arbitrum One and Nova at 11:30 a.m. Eastern Time on Oct. 2, pausing all new Stylus contract activations across both chains and adding a safeguard for BoLD one-step proofs in Arbitrum One’s dispute system. The Arbitrum Foundation said the move was part of an ongoing proactive security effort intended to protect the network’s security and integrity. Stylus lets developers write smart contracts in languages such as Rust and C++ while remaining compatible with the Ethereum Virtual Machine, with programs compiled into WebAssembly. The pause is aimed at manually written WASM programs that did not use the standard Stylus compiler toolchain and have not yet been patched by the current ArbOS version. Activated Stylus contracts are not affected and can continue running and renewing, while Solidity contract deployment and execution remain unrestricted. The new BoLD protection can pause settlement from Arbitrum One to Ethereum if two conflicting answers are both accepted at the same dispute step, which may delay unconfirmed withdrawals while a fix is deployed. The Foundation said known Stylus-related issues affect chain liveness, such as denial-of-service attacks, and do not put user funds at risk.20
Fairblock2026-10-02 10:11:06Fairblock launches privacy stablecoin CUSD on Arbitrum with public and private transfer optionsFairblock has introduced CUSD, a privacy-focused stablecoin built on PYUSDx and initially deployed on Arbitrum. The project said the token is supported by M0, PayPal, MoonPay, and Predicate. CUSD allows standard public transfers, while also giving users the option to conceal payment amounts and account balances. According to Fairblock, the product is aimed at both institutions and individual users. Institutions can use it to protect information tied to payroll distribution, treasury management, and OTC settlement, while individuals can hide on-chain payment amounts and transaction flows. Fairblock also said it plans to use economic incentives to drive adoption and expand the use of its privacy features, with more details to be announced later.40
AMLBot2026-10-02 09:33:49AMLBot says suspected Bitget exploiter mixed up Ethereum and Arbitrum twice, leaving about $700,000 stuckAMLBot said on Oct. 2 that the suspected Bitget exploiter appears to have confused Ethereum and Arbitrum twice while moving stolen funds, leaving roughly $700,000 blocked in the process. According to the blockchain anti-money laundering platform, about 267,000 USDC was sent to a Chainflip deposit channel on the wrong chain, and the address involved was later blacklisted by Circle. In a separate transfer, about 160 ETH, valued by AMLBot at around $430,000, was bridged to Arbitrum and then sent to a channel that exists only on Ethereum, leaving the funds stuck. AMLBot said the two transactions may have been carried out by an automated script. The account was published by BlockBeats as a market analysis update.20
Arbitrum2026-10-01 16:05:56Arbitrum posts record $5.45 million in September revenueArbitrum said its network generated more than $5 million in total revenue in September, reaching $5.45 million and setting a new record. According to the data released on Oct. 2, most of that revenue came from Orbit licensing fees, which totaled $4.75 million. The disclosure also said this portion of revenue may be tied to heavy trading activity on the Robinhood chain during the month. The figures point to a month in which Orbit-related income made up the bulk of Arbitrum’s overall revenue. The update was reported by BlockBeats as a 7x24 market brief.20
Abracadabra2026-09-30 13:51:09Abracadabra proposes shutting down MIM, with holders set to recover about $0.04 per tokenAbracadabra’s team has put forward a proposal to wind down the lending protocol and its Magic Internet Money (MIM) stablecoin, arguing that repeated exploits have left the token deeply undercollateralized and without a realistic route back to its peg. Under the plan, MIM holders would recover roughly $0.04 per token, based on the team’s estimate of remaining accessible collateral versus MIM circulating outside protocol-controlled addresses. The Snapshot vote was posted on Sept. 29 and is scheduled to close at 1:24 p.m. ET on Wednesday. As of Wednesday morning, only two wallets had voted. The wallet that submitted the proposal cast about 100 million in voting power in favor, while another wallet cast roughly 523,000 against, giving the proposer about 99.5% of the votes counted so far. The proposal says collateral backing MIM debt totals around $1.2 million, but about $300,000 of that is locked in an immutable Arbitrum WETH cauldron whose interest rate cannot be changed, leaving about $900,000 the team can actively manage. With nearly $22 million of MIM sitting outside protocol addresses, the team estimates roughly $21 million in bad debt and says MIM is more than 95% unbacked. According to CoinGecko, MIM traded near $0.029 on Wednesday.20
WisdomTree2026-10-01 01:06:47WisdomTree confirms native deployment of tokenized RWA fund on ArbitrumAsset manager WisdomTree said on Sept. 30 that it has natively deployed a tokenized real-world asset, or RWA, fund on Arbitrum. The update points to another case of a traditional finance firm using blockchain infrastructure for asset management products. According to the item carried by Techub News and attributed to NewsBTC, the move is part of WisdomTree’s broader strategy to integrate digital asset services into a wider institutional framework. The report also described the deployment as an important step toward delivering asset management services on-chain with greater scalability and transparency. It added that ongoing technology upgrades remain important for maintaining user confidence and market stability. As institutional participation accelerates across global markets, the event was presented as a notable precedent for the sector.30
Arbitrum2026-09-28 16:43:56Arbitrum Foundation launches security program with audit subsidies for buildersThe Arbitrum Foundation has introduced the Arbitrum Security Program, a new initiative aimed at teams building on the Arbitrum platform. Under the program, eligible teams can receive subsidies for smart contract audits. The coverage spans applications on testnet, projects already deployed on mainnet, teams migrating from other blockchains, and dedicated Arbitrum chains. The announcement outlines the program’s target groups and keeps the focus on security support for projects across different stages of development and deployment within the Arbitrum ecosystem.200
Altcoin Seaso2026-09-28 13:30:00Altcoin season nears as traders rotate into revenue-generating protocols and a narrower set of themesAltcoin season has not been officially confirmed by CoinMarketCap, but market rotation is already underway and the data is becoming harder to dismiss. Over the past 30 days, gains have appeared across very different sectors: memecoin launchpad PONS rose more than 350%, Uniswap’s UNI climbed more than 110%, Arbitrum’s ARB gained over 150%, and AI-linked NEAR advanced about 180%. Zcash also hit a record high above $1,600 last week, while LIT and PUMP ranked among the strongest performers over the same period. The pattern, however, does not look like a broad rush into every altcoin. Talos data shows the top 10 altcoins now make up roughly 80% of total altcoin market capitalization, up from around 70% at the end of 2024. Talos international markets head Samar Sen said capital is clustering around a smaller number of assets, while 1inch co-founder Sergej Kunz described the market as selective, with more wallets buying a wider range of tokens but generally in smaller size. Market participants cited in the report pointed to revenue-generating protocols, onchain perpetuals, DeFi, privacy assets, AI-related tokens and tokenized assets as the main areas drawing attention. At the same time, memecoin launchpads and unusual Robinhood trading pairs show speculation has not disappeared. The result, for now, is a market driven by several competing narratives rather than one clean shift from speculation to utility.230
