Arbitrum says Security Council moved funds tied to Binance exploit-linked address without affecting users or apps

Arbitrum said its Security Council took emergency action to secure assets held by an address on Arbitrum One linked to the Binance exploit, moving 74,559,805 ARB and 8,425 ETH to a safe location. The project said the action followed technical due diligence and deliberation by the committee and did not affect any Arbitrum users, applications, other users, or the state of other chains. As of Oct. 30, 2026, the funds had been transferred to an intermediary frozen wallet, and the original holding address could no longer access them. Arbitrum added that the assets can now be moved only through further action by the Security Council or via an Arbitrum DAO governance vote, with next steps to be coordinated with relevant parties. The statement was published by Arbitrum on X.

Four Arbitrum DAO temperature check votes are set to close on Oct. 22

Arbitrum DAO has four active temperature check votes scheduled to end on Oct. 22, according to a roundup from the Arbitrum Foundation governance forum. The proposals cover Ethereum Glamsterdam upgrade compatibility, an L1 governance recovery mechanism, a treasury ETH transfer, and a strategic plan tied to USDG. One proposal from Entropy would make USDG one of Arbitrum DAO’s core strategic initiatives and add an extra 100 million ARB from the DAO treasury to the DRIP budget, while also changing the project timeline and permitted uses of funds. The proposal also calls for routing AEP net fees into ATMC and converting them into USDG to support USDG growth on Arbitrum. The update was reported by ChainCatcher.

Arbitrum DAO Reports $6.19M Revenue in H1 2026, Gross Margin Above 97%

As reported by The Block, the Arbitrum DAO achieved $6.19 million in revenue during the first six months of 2026. This revenue was derived from multiple streams: transaction fees on Arbitrum One, the Timeboost sequencer auction, licensing fees from expansion chains utilizing Arbitrum’s technology, and returns from the treasury management. The protocol’s gross profit margin was more than 97%, and it ended the period with $125 million in non-ARB assets. The network handled 478 million transactions over the six months, with stablecoins averaging over $70 billion in monthly transfers. The number of holding addresses increased to 10.5 million. Arbitrum led in the number of on-chain real-world asset deployments. Additionally, Robinhood Chain, which went live on mainnet in July, contributed $360,000 in licensing fees to the Arbitrum Expansion Program in its first month, accounting for 35% of the DAO’s monthly revenue.
