The upgrade includes three proposals covering bridge security, validator governance rules and execution efficiency. According to the announcement, BEP-682 fixes a flaw in the cross-chain bridge verification process that allowed validator signatures to be counted more than once. BEP-695 defines authority and slashing rules after validator key rotation, closing a loophole that previously allowed governance voting blacklist restrictions to be bypassed. BEP-675 lets block builders submit blocks that have already been executed, with the aim of reducing repeated computation by validators. BNB Chain also shared testnet figures for the upgrade. It said throughput increased to 2324 TPS from 1237 TPS, while block production speed and gas fees remained unchanged.970
