Global blockchain and crypto funding activity produced nine disclosed deals during June 29 to July 5, with total capital exceeding $506 million, according to PANews’ partial tally cited in the report. The week’s headline transaction was Venice AI’s $65 million Series A, led by Dragonfly, which valued the privacy-focused AI platform at $1 billion post-money. DeFi remained one of the busiest categories, with funding or strategic investments involving Extended, Techdollar, and Arcus, while Web3 and AI also generated three transactions through Venice AI, THEA, and Kled AI. Outside those sectors, Bitcoin miner Ionic Digital raised roughly $400 million in a private placement ahead of a planned Nasdaq direct listing, and Lion Group outlined a deal to invest up to $12 million in Indonesian stablecoin developer PT Nusantara Bumi Sangkara.
