Coinbase Launches Regulated Crypto Futures in Canada with Up to 10x Leverage
Coinbase has introduced regulated crypto derivatives and commodity futures in Canada via its subsidiary Coinbase Financial Markets (CFM), becoming the first major crypto platform to offer native crypto futures in the country. The products include 23 perpetual and dated futures contracts for Bitcoin, Ether, SOL, and other cryptocurrencies, as well as five commodity futures covering gold, silver, and oil, plus the COIN50 index futures. All contracts carry up to 10x leverage and are provided by CFM, a CFTC-registered futures commission merchant. A limited-time fee of 0.02% per trade plus $0.11 per contract applies.
