Salesforce tops expectations with $11.3 billion in Q2 revenue, shares jump more than 12% after hours
Salesforce reported results for the second quarter of fiscal 2026 that met or beat market expectations, sending its shares up more than 12% in after-hours trading. Revenue for the quarter reached $11.3 billion, up 11% from a year earlier, while adjusted earnings per share came in at $5.90. For the third quarter ending in October, the company projected revenue of $11.5 billion, slightly above market estimates, and said current remaining performance obligations are expected to grow 14%, ahead of the 13% average forecast. The company also used the earnings release to stress its positioning in AI. Salesforce said it is expanding its partnership with Anthropic, integrating more of its products into Claude so sales teams can access customer and sales-cycle information through the AI application. Finance executive Mike Spencer said the integration should lift compute usage across both platforms and help move customers toward higher-tier plans. Salesforce also raised its revenue outlook for Agentforce to about $1.5 billion this year, up from the prior $1.2 billion forecast, and said its earlier strategic investment in Anthropic has generated $2.6 billion in gains.
