The U.S. Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control, or OFAC, announced a new round of sanctions on July 13, according to a report by Livecoins. The action freezes 13 cryptocurrency wallets and trust funds linked to the Cuban regime. The sanctioned assets span multiple blockchain networks, including Tron (TRX), Litecoin (LTC), Dogecoin (DOGE), Solana (SOL), Dash (DASH), and Zcash (ZEC), and also include Bitcoin and Ethereum holdings. OFAC named two individuals in the sanctions action: Ukrainian citizen Dmytro Rashevskyi and Belarus resident Yevgeniy Vladimirovich Silayev. The list also covers several Cuban state institutions, including the Association of Cuban Revolutionary Combatants and Cuba’s Ministry of Tourism. At the same time, OFAC issued FAQ 1262, advising all U.S. citizens to immediately end any dealings with the entities included on the sanctions list.
