Strategy CEO Phong Le says a 2.2% annual Bitcoin gain can sustain dividends and interest

Odaily, citing a post from Bitcoin Treasuries on X, reported that Strategy CEO Phong Le said Bitcoin would only need to rise 2.2% per year for the company to keep paying dividends and interest on a permanent basis. Le said that outcome shows the digital credit model works. The statement was presented as a direct comment attributed to Le through Bitcoin Treasuries’ social media post. No additional figures, timeline details, or supporting calculations were provided in the brief. The update centers on Strategy’s view of Bitcoin-linked financial structure and frames the 2.2% annual appreciation threshold as sufficient to maintain ongoing shareholder and creditor payments.

Strategy Shareholders Back Daily Dividend Accrual for Four Preferred Stocks

Strategy shareholders approved a Daily Dividends amendment covering four preferred stock series — STRF, STRC, STRK and STRD — with preliminary results showing 99.3% of votes cast in favor, according to Executive Chairman Michael Saylor. The change lets dividends accrue every calendar day, including weekends and holidays, while payments would still be made on the next business day. Strategy has said the amendment would not change scheduled dividend rates or total dividend obligations, and argued the structure could reduce reinvestment lag, improve liquidity and market efficiency, and support price stability. The company also said the change could make its Digital Credit instruments more attractive and useful, helping it access preferred equity capital more efficiently as it pursues its Bitcoin treasury strategy. The amendment still requires board approval and completion of required filings before any new payment schedule begins. If those steps are completed, STRC’s first record and payment dates would be Nov. 1 and Nov. 2, 2026, while STRF, STRK and STRD would begin on Jan. 1 and Jan. 4, 2027, subject to operational readiness.

Odaily flags BSC meme token Butterfly Life as market cap tops $7.54 million

Odaily said in its "Today’s Hot Meme" tracker that Butterfly Life on BSC has surpassed a $7.54 million market capitalization. The project is described as a Chinese community meme tied to the Flap butterfly launchpad and is being promoted around a "coin-stock equal rights" pitch. According to the description cited by Odaily, the project claims tokenized Apple stock AAPLB as its dividend target, charges about a 1% tax on both buys and sells, and uses that tax for dividend distribution. Holders become eligible for dividends after holding at least 10,000 tokens. Another promotional line positions Butterfly Life against "Binance Life" and says it aims to surpass it. Additional material attributed to Grok says the branding also uses a "breaking out of the cocoon into a butterfly" image and extends into secondary narratives including Butterfly Vault, a Flap Vault 2.0 staking co-brand, and film box office revenue sharing. Odaily added that the list is selected by its proprietary AI model based on community discussion and does not constitute investment advice.

Binance credits NOKB dividends to spot wallets as additional tokens

Binance has distributed NOKB dividends to users by crediting additional tokens to their spot wallets, according to a Techub News brief that cited Crypto Briefing. The update centers on how the exchange handled the payout rather than on any disclosed cash distribution or separate claim process. The report said the tokenized dividend structure highlights users’ reliance on exchanges to process corporate actions. It also pointed to limits around direct ownership and voting rights. No further details were provided in the brief on the amount distributed, the timing of eligibility, or the mechanics behind the token credit.

Strategy shareholders to vote Oct. 28 on changes to STRC and other preferred stock terms

Strategy shareholders are set to vote on Oct. 28 on a proposal to amend the terms of STRC, STRF, STRK and STRD so dividend record dates can be set daily, according to Bitcoin.com News cited by ChainCatcher. The proposal requires approval from a majority of the voting power of all outstanding common stock. Abstentions and broker non-votes will count as votes against, while preferred shareholders do not have voting rights. Michael Saylor currently controls 32.9% of total voting power, meaning the measure would still need roughly 17 additional percentage points of support from other shareholders. If approved, STRC holders would receive daily dividends from Nov. 1 through Nov. 30, totaling $1 per share, with an annualized rate of 12%. If the proposal fails, the daily dividend plan will not take effect. Strategy is scheduled to report third-quarter results on Oct. 29. As of Oct. 25, the company held 848,517 BTC and $5.1 billion in assets.

Anthropic says revenue growth may not last, expects no dividends in the foreseeable future

Anthropic said in its IPO filing that its revenue growth may be difficult to sustain and that it does not expect to pay any dividends for the foreseeable future. The company also disclosed that, under arrangements related to SpaceXAI, it agreed to spend up to $120.5 billion in aggregate through 2029. In the same filing, Anthropic warned that advanced artificial intelligence systems could pose catastrophic or even existential risks to humanity if appropriate regulation is absent. The company also said its co-founders have each pledged to devote 80% of their personal shareholdings in Anthropic to charitable causes. The disclosures place financial expectations, long-term spending commitments, governance concerns, and founder philanthropy in the same public filing as the company moves through the IPO process.

Perpetual preferred shares funded 136,000 BTC purchases, but Strategy now faces dividend and buyback strain

Perpetual preferred stock has become a major funding tool for bitcoin treasury companies such as Strategy and Strive, opening the door to income-focused investors who may not want direct exposure to BTC. According to Fidelity Digital Assets analyst Zack Wainwright, these securities have financed the purchase of about 136,000 BTC over the past 20 months, or more than 0.5% of bitcoin’s maximum supply. Fidelity estimates the bitcoin-focused preferred market at roughly $12 billion, still tiny next to the $150 trillion global fixed-income market. Analysts interviewed by CoinDesk said the structure now faces a tougher test. As more preferred shares are issued, dividend obligations keep rising. If the securities trade below par, new issuance becomes less attractive and companies may need to spend cash on buybacks instead. CoinShares’ James Butterfill said Strategy’s latest weekly report showed $193 million spent repurchasing STRC while only 267 BTC were bought over the same period, and that the company raised its preferred buyback authorization to $3 billion. He also said Strategy had previously sold some bitcoin to meet preferred dividend payments. Analysts added that U.S. spot bitcoin ETFs remain the larger demand channel, with about $57 billion in cumulative net inflows and roughly $106 billion in assets under management.
