Robinhood’s On-Chain Ecosystem Draws Capital Into Meme Tokens and Stock-Paired Markets

Robinhood’s on-chain ecosystem has produced a wide range of meme tokens, launchpad projects, NFTs, DeFi protocols and stock-paired markets in less than two weeks, according to an analysis published by TechFlow. As of Sept. 1, the ecosystem had at least 30 meme tokens with market capitalizations above $1 million and 28 application tokens. BONER, paired with a tokenized version of HIMS stock, rose from an $8 million valuation to $80 million in a single day. During the New York Stock Exchange’s weekend closure, the on-chain HIMS token reportedly traded as high as $132, compared with HIMS’ $28.8 Friday close. Artificial Inu, or AI, which is paired with tokenized Nvidia stock, reached a market capitalization of $190 million. Other stock-linked pools included Micron, SpaceX, Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing, QUBT, SPY and ZEC-related projects. Infrastructure tokens also gained attention. UP generated about $180,000 in fees from Aug. 31 to Sept. 1, while PONS, HOOKR, INDEX, DENAR and PICKLES represented launchpad, liquidity, stock-distribution, lending and AI-trading themes. The analysis also covered MARKETPLIER, launched after Markiplier became GoPro’s largest single shareholder, and several smaller sentiment-driven tokens.

HOOKR climbs nearly 40x in 10 days, with market cap briefly nearing $20 million

HOOKR, the token tied to Robinhood Chain launch platform Hookr.fun, extended its rally on Aug. 31, according to GMGN tracking cited by BlockBeats. The token’s market cap was last seen at $19.05 million and at one point came close to $20 million. Over the past 24 hours, HOOKR was up 50%, while trading volume reached $5.5 million. BlockBeats said HOOKR’s market cap had been only about $500,000 on Aug. 20, implying an expansion of nearly 40x at the day’s peak valuation. Hookr.fun rolled out V5 between Aug. 20 and Aug. 21 and currently supports two token launch models: Instant Launch and Bonded Auction. Early on Aug. 30 Beijing time, Hookr said cumulative HOOKR burns were about to reach 2.5 million tokens and teased that “a big wave of updates is coming.” Under Hookr’s rules, qualified swaps in its ETH trading pair are charged a 0.3% protocol fee. The accumulated ETH is then used to buy back HOOKR on the market and permanently burn it within the same transaction. BlockBeats added that the recent rise in burn volume may be seen by funds as a sign that platform trading activity is starting to translate into buying demand for HOOKR.

Pools.trade posts heavy volume but still hasn’t produced a breakout high-cap meme coin

Uniswap Labs’ meme coin launchpad Pools.trade has drawn substantial activity on Robinhood Chain, with trading starting before its front-end officially opened. Community users found early deployed contracts during the 24-hour countdown to launch and began trading tokens directly on-chain. By the time the interface went live, those early contracts had already generated more than $150 million in volume. Dune data shows Pools.trade recorded $99.1 million in volume on Aug. 5 alone, accounting for about 54.2% of all token launchpad trading volume on Robinhood Chain that day and surpassing Pons, which had led the segment for the previous two weeks. Even so, the platform has yet to produce a meme token with sustained large-scale market value. So far, only FRONG and POOLS have crossed the $1 million market cap mark on Pools.trade. FRONG briefly reached $18 million, while POOLS at one point moved above $4 million, but both later pulled back. A key issue has been criticism around fairness, since both tokens were minted before the platform’s official front-end launch. That has weakened community enthusiasm even as the platform benefits from Uniswap’s existing distribution channels, wallet integrations, and lower trading fees than rival platforms such as Pons and Flap.

Pools.trade posted outsized volume before launch, but no meme coin has broken out on market cap

Uniswap Labs’ new meme coin launchpad, Pools.trade, generated heavy activity before its front end even went live, after community members found early contracts and began trading tokens directly onchain. According to the figures cited in the source report, those early contracts had already produced more than $150 million in cumulative volume by the time the official interface opened. Dune data also showed $99.1 million in volume on Aug. 5 alone, accounting for about 54.2% of all token launch platform volume on Robinhood Chain that day and surpassing Pons, which had led the category for the previous two weeks. Even with that start, Pools.trade has not yet produced a high-market-cap meme token. The report says only two tokens on the platform, FRONG and POOLS, were above $1 million in market cap at the time of writing. Both were minted before the official launch, and both later drew scrutiny over fairness. FRONG briefly reached $18 million before falling back, while POOLS rose above $4 million and later slipped to about $1.8 million. The article argues that the dispute over early minting weakened community FOMO and limited how far either token could run, despite strong traffic, Uniswap distribution, and low trading fees on the platform.
