Hong Kong stocks close lower as UDE Robotics jumps 153% on debut

Hong Kong stocks ended lower on Sept. 9, according to market data cited by ChainCatcher from Gate. The Hang Seng Index closed down 0.17%, while the Hang Seng Tech Index fell 0.76%. Among individual names, UDE Robotics surged 153% on its first trading day after listing. Lenovo Group and Weichai Power both rose more than 6%, while Haidilao dropped more than 9%. The move left the broader market mixed at the close, with benchmark indexes finishing in negative territory even as a newly listed stock posted a sharp first-day gain.
