Flap founder Cedric buys STOCKCAT (SCAT), a meme token issued in the Robinhood Chain ecosystem

BlockBeats reported on July 18, citing on-chain data, that Flap founder Cedric has bought STOCKCAT (SCAT), a meme token issued by the Flap platform within the Robinhood Chain ecosystem. STOCKCAT is described as a community-driven meme project launched on Robinhood Chain, combining meme stock culture with an on-chain asset narrative. The report did not provide transaction size or pricing details. BlockBeats also warned that meme tokens can be highly volatile, with price action driven largely by market sentiment, community attention and narrative momentum rather than stable fundamentals. As a result, investors are advised to pay close attention to risk when trading or holding such assets.

Two meme-fueled scam episodes hit Robinhood Chain as SpaceXAI and founder-linked wallet are exploited

Robinhood Chain’s meme boom is drawing in more than traders. Over the past two days, two separate incidents used recognizable names and trusted accounts to create short-lived hype around tokens on the network before late buyers were left exposed. The first involved the X accounts of SpaceXAI and Starlink, which were compromised and used to amplify a post promoting SCATMAN, a meme token on Robinhood Chain. The token’s market cap briefly climbed to about $2 million before the deployer pulled liquidity, sending the price close to zero. On-chain tracker Lookonchain said the attacker minted 10 trillion SCATMAN tokens and sold them through two linked wallets for 59 ETH and 14.7 ETH. The second centered on Robinhood co-founder and CEO Vlad Tenev. After a wallet tied to Tenev was compromised, the address bought meme token $1 on July 12, triggering copycat buying after traders saw activity from what appeared to be a founder-linked wallet. The token’s market cap jumped from about $500,000 to $14 million, with roughly $20 million in trading volume in two hours, before falling back near $1 million. The back-to-back cases highlight how Robinhood Chain’s recent meme trading surge has also opened the door to account hijacks, liquidity pulls, and rapid cash-outs.

Hackers net $135,000 from compromised SpaceXAI and Starlink X accounts as Robinhood Chain DEX volume hits $4 billion

PANews’ daily roundup covered a wide range of crypto market and on-chain developments, led by two high-profile incidents tied to social media accounts and meme tokens. According to the report, hackers who compromised the official X accounts of SpaceXAI and Starlink used them to promote the $SCATMAN token and made a combined profit of about $135,000. The same roundup also said the accounts had reposted a Robinhood Chain meme coin that briefly pushed its market cap to $2 million before a rug pull, with the posts later deleted. Robinhood Chain itself reached several milestones since launch, including more than $290 million in stablecoins attracted to the network, $134 million in total value locked, $12 million in active RWA market cap, and $4 billion in cumulative DEX trading volume. Separately, Robinhood co-founder Vlad Tenev reportedly exposed a seed phrase during a livestream, allowing attackers to seize control of an address and use it to inflate and dump meme tokens. The roundup also highlighted broader market data. U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded a net inflow of $197 million last week, ending eight straight weeks of outflows. A dormant whale moved 2,931 BTC worth about $188 million, while Galaxy Digital’s head of research said four long-term holder indicators had reached record highs.

Hackers breach SpaceX-linked accounts, dump token for about $135,000

Hackers recently compromised the social media accounts of SpaceXAI and Starlink, then used the accounts to launch a token called $SCATMAN before quickly cashing out, according to Techub News. On-chain data cited from Lookonchain shows the attacker minted 10 trillion tokens and sold the entire supply for 59 ETH, worth about $108,000 at the time cited in the report. A related wallet also realized another 14.7 ETH, or roughly $27,000. Combined, the proceeds came to about $135,000. The report described the incident as a classic account-takeover rug pull, in which attackers lean on a well-known brand name to attract buyers, mint a large amount of tokens, and exit quickly. The identity of the hacker remains unclear. The destination of the funds has not been disclosed, and the status of the compromised accounts had not been confirmed at the time of publication.

Hackers breach SpaceXAI and Starlink accounts to promote SCATMAN, net about $125,000

Lookonchain said hackers took over the SpaceXAI and Starlink accounts, then issued and promoted a token called SCATMAN. On-chain data cited by the tracker shows two wallets, 0xfee...a8ba and 0xdd...ba89, minted 10 trillion SCATMAN and swapped the full amount for 59 ETH, worth about $108,000. A separate wallet under the hackers’ control also exchanged 59.28 million SCATMAN for 14.7 ETH, valued at roughly $27,000. Based on those transactions, the total profit came to around $125,000. The report ties the gains to token sales that followed the account takeover and promotion campaign.
