Tencent says it will scale up domestic computing deployment, targets NPO super node rollout in Q4 2026

A Tencent Cloud executive said at a forum during the World Artificial Intelligence Conference that the company plans to deploy Chinese domestically developed computing resources on a large scale in a bid to push inference costs as low as possible. The executive also said Tencent expects to deploy an NPO, or near-packaged optics, super node in the fourth quarter of 2026.
