X Users Hit by Password Reset Email Bombardment; No Data Breach Found, Says Official

On September 1, a large number of X (formerly Twitter) users were bombarded with unsolicited password reset emails, with some receiving 8 emails in 3 minutes. X engineer Mridul Singhai said attackers are abusing public usernames to submit account recovery forms, but the system has not been compromised. The motive may be linked to the recent launch of X Money payment features. Users are advised to enable password reset protection and two-factor authentication.

Operation Bluebird launches twitter.now, says X Corp abandoned the Twitter trademark

Virginia startup Operation Bluebird has launched a new social platform at twitter.now and is openly arguing that Elon Musk’s X Corp no longer holds enforceable rights to the Twitter name. The company says its case rests on a basic principle of U.S. trademark law: a mark can be presumed abandoned after three consecutive years of non-use. Musk rebranded Twitter to X in July 2023, putting that three-year clock at July 2026. Operation Bluebird said it began acting in 2025, filing petitions with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office to cancel X Corp’s Twitter trademarks while also applying for a new Twitter mark of its own. X Corp later sued the company on Dec. 16, 2025, in federal court in Delaware and sought a preliminary injunction to block the platform’s launch. At an April 2026 hearing, Judge Colm Connolly reportedly indicated that X may have abandoned claims tied to the word “tweet,” the bird logo, and possibly even “Twitter” itself. No written ruling has been issued. Operation Bluebird’s chief legal officer Stephen Coates, a former Twitter legal executive before Musk’s takeover, said the company decided it had waited long enough. Trademark attorney Josh Gerben said the theory is legally plausible, but the fight is only beginning.

X tests crypto trading buttons inside post charts

According to Techub News, former X head of product Nikita Bier said trading buttons could be added to crypto charts on the platform. The feature has not been finalized and is still being tested, with no launch date confirmed at this stage. The report said the possible token list includes BTC, ETH, SOL, XRP, ZEC, and XLM. The item cited CoinPedia as the source of the information.
