Kazakhstan’s regulated crypto market reached $10.58 billion in 2025, report says

Kazakhstan’s regulated cryptocurrency market recorded $10.58 billion in trading volume in 2025, up sharply from $320 million in 2023, according to The Astana Times, as cited by ChainCatcher. The report also said the number of users in the country’s regulated market rose from 53,000 to 215,000 over the same period. The Astana Times added that Kazakhstan ranked among the global top 10 by application count for the international Solana hackathon. More than 8,000 people completed training through the Solana ecosystem, and over 2,000 received certificates. On the startup side, 57 Web3 companies in the country have received grants totaling about $262,000. Kazakhstan is also planning to complete tokenization of real estate and logistics projects worth up to $60 million by the end of 2026, as it tests whether digital assets can serve as a new financing channel for the economy.

SlowMist flags job-interview phishing campaign disguised as a Web3 hiring process

SlowMist said attackers are posing as Web3 companies and using remote job interviews as bait to get candidates to deploy and run a local project. The project is presented as RoyalCity, a real estate and crypto investment app, but its tailwind.config.js file contains obfuscated malicious code. Once the project is run or built, the payload can steal browser credentials, wallet extension data, exfiltrate local files, monitor clipboard content, and enable remote control of the victim’s machine. SlowMist also said errorHandler.js contains a separate server-side backdoor that can retrieve and execute remote code. According to the security team, the case closely resembles a previously analyzed recruitment-themed GitHub poisoning attack: both used interview lures, executed through Tailwind, and carried highly similar data theft and remote access payloads. The disclosure was published by @SlowMist_Team and carried by Techub News.

Researchers warn potential iPhone Safari zero-day could expose crypto private keys

Security researchers have warned iPhone users about a potential zero-day flaw in Apple’s Safari browser that could expose sensitive data, including cryptocurrency private keys, recovery phrases, and information stored in Apple Keychain. According to the report cited by Techub News, the suspected exploit chain may involve WebKit memory corruption, a sandbox escape, and kernel-level access. The warning applies to iOS versions 13 through 26.5, though the exact scope of affected devices and users has not been fully confirmed. The report was attributed to CoinPedia. At this stage, the available information points to a possible risk rather than a fully detailed disclosure, with no final confirmation yet on the full impact range.

Ripmart may be the next catalyst for CARDS as Collector Crypt looks beyond crypto-native users

Collector Crypt’s token CARDS has lagged even as Bitcoin rebounded, and 0xResearch author Kunal Doshi argues the move says more about capital rotation than fading demand for on-chain collectibles. In his analysis, Bitcoin rose nearly 30% from its $63,000 low while CARDS fell 8%, as traders shifted attention and liquidity toward stock token pairs on Robinhood Chain and Solana. He points to a weekly net revenue peak of $3 million in the week ending Aug. 16, just before stock token volumes accelerated, followed by a period of weaker metrics for Collector Crypt. Doshi says those trends have started to reverse. After three straight weeks of decline, net revenue has rebounded, and the team has added gacha machines tied to rising interest in Riftbound and Dragon Ball card packs, with those categories contributing 8% to 16% of total revenue in recent weeks. He also argues the market is overlooking Ripmart, a product he believes could resemble a consumer live-shopping app similar to Whatnot. While official details remain limited, he says such a model could let users buy sealed packs from Collector Crypt inventory, watch live openings, and sell eligible hits back into the platform. In his view, that could push Collector Crypt deeper into the Web2 consumer market and reduce its dependence on crypto liquidity alone.
