TradingBeats says tetrose kept betting on $90-$100 oil and held a 50x short on the S&P 500
TradingBeats, formerly Hyperinsight, said Polymarket trader tetrose added to tail bets on WTI crude reaching $90, $95 and $100 by the end of August even as oil spiked overnight. Between 3:35 a.m. and 4:07 a.m. on Aug. 31, the trader made six purchases and spent about $3,182 more. At the time of those trades, implied odds for the three targets stood near 3.63%, 1.50% and 0.70%, compared with current odds of 4.5%, 1.6% and 0.5%. TradingBeats said the combined cost of the three Yes positions is about $38,900, while their current value is only about $8,291, leaving an unrealized loss of roughly $30,600, or 78.7%. The $95 line alone accounts for about $26,900 of that drawdown. After oil moved higher, an address linked to tetrose took profit on 5,349.14 Brent crude long contracts, then placed a bid for 3,618.13 contracts at $88.7, worth about $320,900, to reopen longs on a pullback. The order was never filled and was canceled at 1:22 p.m. The trader also kept an S&P 500 short opened on Aug. 28: 274.773 contracts short at 50x cross margin, with position value around $2.113 million, entry at 7759.6, unrealized profit near $19,200, and a take-profit order at 7600 covering the full position.
