Solo Satoshi Launches Bitaxe Turbo Touch: Open-Source Touchscreen Bitcoin Miner with 2.15 TH/s and 43W Power Draw

Houston-based Solo Satoshi has released the Bitaxe Turbo Touch, an open-source touchscreen Bitcoin miner aimed at home users. The compact device delivers approximately 2.15 TH/s (over 3 TH/s when overclocked) using dual BM1370 ASIC chips, achieving an efficiency of 18 J/TH. It consumes only 43 watts and produces 35 decibels of noise, with estimated monthly electricity cost of $3.70 at typical US rates. The miner runs fully open-source firmware (AxeOS and BAP-GT-TOUCH) and its hardware designs are publicly available. Compared to competitors like the Braiins BMM 101, the Bitaxe Turbo Touch offers a significantly lower cost per terahash ($151 vs. $299). The launch highlights the growing open-source hardware movement in Bitcoin mining, with Solo Satoshi collaborating with the Open Source Miners United community. The company traces its involvement back to late 2024 and aims to provide fully verifiable mining tools.
