Brian Barry-Murphy said Cardiff City have new injury concerns over Will Fish, Perry Ng and Alex Robertson after a 3-0 defeat at Wolves.

Cardiff City boss Brian Barry-Murphy said the club have fresh injury concerns over Will Fish, Perry Ng and Alex Robertson after a 3-0 defeat at Wolves. Cardiff were already without Dylan Lawlor, Callum Chambers, Krystian Bielik and the suspended Gabriel Osho for the game.

Fish hamstring issue

Barry-Murphy said: "Will Fish has a sore hamstring."

He added: "It was sore at half-time, but we had so little cover we left him on the pitch because we wanted to get back in the game."

Barry-Murphy said: "But the longer it goes on with a hamstring, the greater the risk – like with Dylan Lawlor – so we had to get him off."

Other injury concerns

Barry-Murphy said Robertson has picked up an Achilles problem.

On Ng, Barry-Murphy said: "Perry went to play centre back, but he’s been struggling. They’re giving it everything, so that’s why I can’t be too critical."

Defensive reshuffle

Barry-Murphy said: "We spoke earlier in the season when four of our centre backs were out injured, and I incorrectly presumed that will never happen again – but it has."

He also said: "I can’t express how grateful I am because I asked Ollie Tanner to play left back and he gave it everything; same for Joel at right back."

Bielik update

Despite returning to training, Barry-Murphy was unable to confirm whether Bielik will be fit to face West Ham on Wednesday.
