GOAL, citing Cadena COPE, reported that two La Liga fixtures were moved to the first week of December to avoid a clash with the 2027 Spanish Super Cup.

GOAL, citing Cadena COPE, reported that Barcelona's clash with Atletico Madrid and Real Sociedad's meeting with Real Madrid have been brought forward to avoid a clash with the 2027 Spanish Super Cup in Istanbul. According to Cadena COPE, both fixtures were moved from Matchday 23, originally set for the weekend of 7 February, to the first week of December.

Super Cup schedule

Barcelona play Atletico Madrid in the first semi-final on 2 February. Real Sociedad face Real Madrid in the second semi-final on 3 February. The final is on 6 February.

Host city and reason for the change

Istanbul will host the next edition of the Spanish Super Cup. GOAL says Saudi Arabia, home to the previous editions, could no longer stage the tournament because the date clashed with the Kingdom's hosting of the Asian Cup.

Copa del Rey dates

The second round of the Copa del Rey is scheduled for 2 December. The four Super Cup clubs enter the cup competition at the round of 16.
