Chelsea beat Roma 2-0 in the Champions League, with Lexi Potter suffering a knee injury during the match. After the game, Sonia Bompastor said Chelsea would assess Potter.
Potter injury update
Potter was forced off after receiving treatment on the pitch during Chelsea's 2-0 Champions League win over Roma.
Bompastor said: "She picked up a knock on her knee, but it’s too soon for us to see how she is."
Bompastor said: "She has a little bit of pain, but we’ll be able to assess her properly tomorrow and see how it is."
Bompastor said: "I spoke a little bit with the medical team, but I don’t have enough information."
How Chelsea won
Second-half goals from Ellie Carpenter and Kadeisha Buchanan secured the victory for Chelsea.
Chelsea have taken 7 points from their opening three league-phase matches and are yet to concede in the competition.
Bompastor on the victory
Bompastor said: "Tonight and on Sunday, we rotated the team a little bit."
Bompastor said: "Probably the first half was not good enough tonight, and it’s always important for us to come into the second half with solutions and the mindset to turn things around."
Bompastor said: "I’m pleased with the fact we scored really early in the second half. We could probably have killed the game a little bit earlier."
Bompastor said: "In these kinds of matches, if you don’t kill it off, you just leave the hope for the opponent. When that’s the case, they have a lot of energy and confidence."
Bompastor said: "It’s important for us in these games to be able to be clinical and ruthless as early as possible."
Bompastor said: "But we find different ways to impose ourselves in the game and to score goals. So it’s good."
