Reports on 26 October said Paris Saint-Germain's Khvicha Kvaratskhelia will miss the 70th Ballon d'Or ceremony in London because of a knee injury. Ousmane Dembélé is expected to attend, while Marquinhos has chosen to stay in Paris.
Kvaratskhelia ruled out
According to L'Équipe, Kvaratskhelia will not travel to London for the 70th Ballon d'Or awards ceremony. Doubts had hung over his attendance in recent days after he suffered a serious knee injury during Paris Saint-Germain's 4-2 win over Barcelona on Tuesday.
He is also set to undergo surgery in Doha, ruling out any trip to England.
Dembélé expected in London
Dembélé, nursing a hamstring injury, is expected to fly to London on Monday evening with his family.
Marquinhos stays in Paris
Marquinhos picked up a thigh injury against Barcelona and has opted to attend Paris Saint-Germain's clash with Lyon at the Parc des Princes on 26 October.
Paris Saint-Germain's Ballon d'Or context
Paris Saint-Germain won the UEFA Champions League last season for the second year running. The club also had the biggest single-club presence on the list of 30 nominees for the Ballon d'Or award.
Kvaratskhelia earned the award for best player in the UEFA Champions League after his season with Paris Saint-Germain.
