During Liverpool's Carabao Cup game against Chelsea, BBC Radio 5 Live pundit Clinton Morrison said James McConnell might have to be substituted at half-time after an early yellow card. Lewis Koumas was also booked early in the match.
Lineup changes
Andoni Iraola made 7 changes to Liverpool's starting lineup.
Morrison's warning
Speaking live on BBC Radio 5 Live, former Crystal Palace striker Clinton Morrison said: "He has to be careful. The thing is with these young players on yellow cards, [the manager] might look at half-time and think we might have to sacrifice you because we can’t afford to go down to 10 men. It was a big horrible touch from McConnell, he tries to make amends and he stuck a hand out."
Ngumoha and the bench
Rio Ngumoha, described as 18 years old, was causing Chelsea's backline problems with his direct dribbling. Alexis Mac Allister, Alexander Isak, Bradley Barcola and Florian Wirtz were available among Liverpool's substitutes.
