Andrée Jeglertz said he was satisfied after Manchester City drew 1-1 away to Manchester United. The City boss praised his side's grit, determination and commitment to the game plan.
Assessment after the draw
Jeglertz said he was pleased with the way his team came through the contest. He said: "It’s always difficult. There is a lot of emotions from the opponent and from us also. I think on the field we managed it in a good way and I always think there is something with people when we support our own team. That is the most important thing to do."
Handling the emotion
Jeglertz felt his side dealt well with the emotion of the match. He said: "But we battled well. There was a lot of emotions on the pitch and we dealt with it in a good way and we played how we wanted."
Sticking to the plan
Jeglertz was also satisfied with the way City stuck to their approach in the game. He said: "It was a tough game, a lot of teams will be challenged here and one point away is not a disaster. And that is why it was important for us to, as soon as possible, take the learnings with us and move on."
