Amazon has rolled out two wearable AI devices, Bee Frontier and Bee Eclipse, more than a year after acquiring Bee, according to BlockBeats. The company has also connected the products to Alexa+ and its own shopping platform.
Pricing, form factor, and launch status
Bee Frontier is priced at $74.99. It can be worn on the wrist or clipped to clothing, comes with dual microphones, and offers battery life of up to seven days. The device is already on sale.
Bee Eclipse is priced at $99.99. It is about the size of a credit card, can attach magnetically to the back of a phone, can record both sides of a phone call, and has battery life of more than 21 days. It has not gone on sale yet.
Always-on listening and task summaries
Once activated, both devices can keep listening to everyday conversations, then turn meeting content, scheduled plans, and to-do items into summaries. They can also work with apps including Gmail and calendar services to draft follow-up emails and schedule meetings.
Amazon shopping recommendations tied to spoken intent
Amazon has linked Bee with Alexa+ and Amazon.com. In the example cited in the report, if a user casually says that dish soap at home is almost used up, connecting the device to Amazon.com could lead to related recommendations appearing on the shopping homepage.
Subscription terms and recent context
The free version keeps only 14 days of memory. Access to third-party app integrations, Alexa+, and shopping recommendation features requires a Bee Pro subscription that costs $11.99 per month.
BlockBeats said Amazon last month blocked Meta Muse from automated shopping in its marketplace on the grounds of unauthorized activity. The company is now plugging its own AI product into shopping recommendations, moving into an earlier stage of how user demand is formed.
