Cobo said it plans to announce a brand upgrade during the Singapore FinTech Festival in mid-November and present new capabilities for its institutional wallet business, including upgraded products designed for enterprise and AI agent payment use cases. Founded in 2017, the company was first known for wallet products aimed at individual users before shifting its focus toward institutional and enterprise services. Cobo said it now serves more than 680 institutional clients across nearly 50 countries and regions. The showcase at SFF will cover its latest progress in institutional wallets, payments, and agent payments. The update comes a day after Cobo Wallet said its app service will be formally shut down on Dec. 1, 2026. Users were asked to transfer out all assets before 23:59 on Nov. 30 and update any receiving addresses previously set as Cobo Wallet addresses on other platforms. Cobo said the app had stopped accepting new user registrations in 2021 and had remained available for existing users so they had enough time to withdraw funds. The company described the latest brand and product changes as part of its continued push into institutional business.
Cobo said on Oct. 17 that it plans to announce a brand upgrade during the Singapore FinTech Festival (SFF), which is scheduled for mid-November, and showcase the latest capabilities of its institutional wallet products, including an upgraded offering for enterprise and AI agent payment scenarios.
Founded in 2017, Cobo was initially known in the market for wallet products aimed at individual users. It later shifted its business focus to institutions and enterprises. The company said it now serves more than 680 institutional clients across nearly 50 countries and regions.
According to the company, its SFF presentation will highlight its latest progress in institutional wallets, payments, and agent payments.
The planned showcase follows an announcement released a day earlier by Cobo Wallet, which said its app service will be formally discontinued on Dec. 1, 2026. Users need to transfer out all assets before 23:59 on Nov. 30 and update any Cobo Wallet receiving addresses previously set on other platforms.
Cobo added that the app had already stopped accepting new user registrations in 2021. Since then, it had continued serving existing users to allow enough time for customers to withdraw their funds. With the latest notice, the individual-user app service is coming to an end, marking the formal close of Cobo's personal wallet business.
Cobo said the brand and product upgrade is part of its broader effort to deepen its institutional business. On top of its existing wallet and custody services, the company said it will expand into payment scenarios to support the digital asset management and business needs of institutions, enterprises, and AI agents.
