AMC CEO Adam Aron said again on X that the company opposes Robinhood’s issuance of tokens in the United States that replicate AMC shares. Aron described the instruments as "fake synthetic shares" and said they could affect AMC’s capital structure. He also said the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission has required Robinhood to obtain AMC’s consent, or at least make sure the company does not object. Aron added that AMC should control its own financial destiny rather than leave that decision to Robinhood. The comments mark another public objection from AMC’s top executive as the company pushes back against tokenized products tied to its stock.
