The report noted that Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei previously met on April 17 with officials including the White House chief of staff and the Treasury secretary. Both sides described that meeting as “productive,” placing the upcoming staff-level meeting within a broader series of direct communications between the company and the administration.
Anthropic had earlier been involved in a dispute with the Pentagon over supply chain risk issues, a matter that also involved litigation. According to the report, relations have recently eased.
