BitMEX co-founder Arthur Hayes said on August 22 that Flop Labs has not issued a FLOP token and that no presale or meme coin exists. He said the project is not live yet and urged the community not to mistake tokens trading in the market for official assets. Hayes added that Flop Labs expects to launch an airdrop in the coming months and plans to introduce mainnet next year. Earlier public information said the project had targeted a large-scale airdrop in Q4 2026 and a genesis block in Q1 2027. Hayes had also said he would lead Flop Labs, a project aimed at building economic infrastructure for AI agents, with FLOP designed as the native asset for paying for compute, storage and other resources.

BitMEX co-founder Arthur Hayes said on August 22 that Flop Labs has not issued a FLOP token and that there is no presale or meme coin.

Hayes said FLOP has not officially launched and warned the community not to mistake any related tokens already trading in the market for the project’s official asset.

He added that Flop Labs expects to start an airdrop in the coming months and plans to launch mainnet next year.

Earlier public information showed the project had once planned a large-scale airdrop in Q4 2026, with the genesis block targeted for Q1 2027.

Hayes had previously said he would lead Flop Labs. The project is intended to build economic infrastructure for AI agents, and FLOP is designed as a native asset for paying for compute, storage and other resources.
