Binance said it will roll out 24/7 foreign exchange perpetual contracts, with USD/BRL (USDBRLUSDT) set to be the first listing. The product is scheduled to go live on Sept. 21, will be settled in USDT, and will offer leverage of up to 100x. During traditional FX market hours, pricing will rely on a weighted index from a third-party data provider. On weekends and public holidays, the contract will switch to an order-book-based pricing model that uses an exponentially weighted moving average of order book prices. Binance said the product is designed to remove the weekend closure limits of traditional FX markets and give traders a round-the-clock venue for price discovery, hedging, and trading in exchange rates.

During traditional FX trading hours, USDBRLUSDT will use weighted index pricing from a third-party data provider. On weekends and public holidays, it will use an order-book-based pricing mechanism, calculated through an exponentially weighted moving average of order book prices, to support round-the-clock trading.

Binance said the 24/7 FX perpetual product is intended to break through the weekend closure limits of traditional foreign exchange markets and give traders a channel for exchange-rate price discovery, hedging, and trading at any time.
