Binance has launched a Community Appreciation Campaign after its hot wallet hack on Oct. 30 and the reopening of withdrawals on Nov. 1, when users withdrew about $4.4 billion on the first day back. The campaign runs until 07:59 Taiwan time on Nov. 22, but it is not a cash compensation plan tied to the hack. Binance had already said losses from the incident would be covered by its SAFU fund and company capital. The promotion includes three parts: a 100 USDC rebate voucher, a 20 million USDC trading prize pool, and boosted yields on selected stablecoin wealth products. The voucher is not credited directly to user balances. Instead, it rebates 30% of spot trading fees, after referral commissions are deducted, and pays the amount in USDC the next day. The trading pool requires at least $10,000 in cumulative eligible volume, with rewards capped at 4,000 USDC per user. Yield boosts apply only to new subscriptions made after the campaign starts and are subject to quota limits. Taiwan is not listed among the explicitly excluded jurisdictions, though Binance says eligibility still depends on regional restrictions and reserves the right to verify user location and disqualify participants.

Binance has introduced a Community Appreciation Campaign after its hot wallet hack on Oct. 30, which the source said involved about $6.3 billion. On Nov. 1, the first day withdrawals resumed, users withdrew about $4.4 billion. The campaign opened the following evening and runs until 07:59 Taiwan time on Nov. 22.

The program is not a cash compensation plan for the hack. Binance had previously said losses from the incident would be covered by the SAFU fund and company capital. All three reward categories in the campaign require users to trade or subscribe to savings products before they can receive benefits.

The 100 USDC voucher is not a direct payout

Users who complete identity verification, or KYC, before 07:59 Taiwan time on Nov. 22 and meet regional eligibility requirements can receive a 100 USDC rebate voucher. Users verified before the campaign started will receive the voucher within seven business days after launch. New users who register during the campaign will receive it within seven business days after completing verification.

The voucher must be claimed in the app’s Rewards Hub. In the Taiwan version of the app, the path is shown as Profile > Rewards Hub. Once issued, the voucher must be claimed within 15 days. After activation, it remains valid for 30 days. Expired vouchers will not be reissued.

It does not place 100 USDC directly into a user account. After the voucher is claimed, Binance will rebate 30% of the user’s daily spot trading fees, after referral commissions are deducted. The rebate is paid in USDC to the spot account on the following day.

$20 million USDC trading pool starts at $10,000 in volume

During the campaign, users can qualify for a share of the 20 million USDC prize pool if their cumulative eligible trading volume reaches at least $10,000. Eligible products include spot, margin, Convert, USD-M futures, COIN-M futures, bStocks, and stock token pairs. Both buy and sell volume count toward the total.

Individual rewards are calculated by multiplying the total prize pool by the user’s share of total eligible trading volume among all qualified participants. The maximum reward is 4,000 USDC per user. Rewards will be distributed as token vouchers within seven business days after the campaign ends.

Users at VIP 3 or above, market makers in Binance spot and futures market maker programs, and Binance brokers are not eligible for the trading pool. Sub-account volume will be merged into the main account rather than treated separately.

Zero-fee trading pairs do not count toward eligible volume. Some Convert pairs, mostly stablecoin swaps, are also excluded. The source listed 23 excluded pairs, including USDC/USDT, FDUSD/USDT, DAI/USDT, and FDUSD/USDC, with the full list available in the campaign terms.

Yield boosts apply only to new subscriptions after launch

Binance marked the campaign with yields of up to 10% annualized. Additional annualized yield is available for USDT and USDC flexible products, as well as RWUSD and BFUSD, each subject to quota limits. For example, non-VIP users can receive an extra 7% on USDC flexible savings, but only on the first 10,000 USDC.

To activate the flexible savings boost, users must make a new subscription after the campaign begins. The offer ends once the reward pool is exhausted. Users who subscribe using borrowed coins or stablecoins borrowed through margin are not eligible for the extra yield.

Binance also noted that RWUSD and BFUSD differ from standard stablecoins. Under Binance’s definition, RWUSD is not a stablecoin, and redemption is not guaranteed to be immediate. BFUSD cannot be withdrawn, and redemption into USD stablecoins may also be restricted.

Taiwan accounts can see the page, but regional limits still apply

The campaign is subject to jurisdiction-based eligibility rules. Only users from eligible regions who have completed KYC can receive rewards. Binance explicitly excludes residents or citizens of the United States, the United Kingdom, the 30 countries in the European Economic Area, Hong Kong, and Singapore, as well as clients of Binance FZE in the UAE and users on Binance’s restricted-country list.

Taiwan is not on the exclusion list. Even so, Binance has not published a list of approved regions and says it reserves the right to verify participant location and revoke eligibility.

According to ABMedia, when a Taiwan account opened the campaign page in the Binance app on the evening of Nov. 2, the page showed progress toward the trading pool volume target. The 100 USDC voucher was marked as "issuing," and the page said existing users would receive it before Nov. 9, while newly registered users would receive it within seven days after verification. The voucher had not yet appeared in the Rewards Hub that evening.

All claims must be completed inside the Binance app or on the official website. Binance co-founder Yi He said on the evening of Nov. 1 that the community reward campaign would only go live after regulatory approval. She also warned that there was no cash voucher campaign at that time and told users to watch for phishing and scam links.
