Strong Debut: 15-Day Metrics
Launched by Binance on June 11, the tokenized equity product bStocks (1:1 pegged to US stocks) has achieved remarkable traction within just 15 days. According to official disclosures, platform holdings have exceeded $100 million, while cumulative trading volume reached $458 million. This implies an average daily trading volume of over $30 million, reflecting strong demand for compliant tokenized stocks.
User Profile and Trading Patterns
The data reveals two structural features: 47% of trading volume occurred outside traditional US stock market hours, indicating that non-US users highly value the 24/7 crypto market mechanism. More importantly, emerging markets contributed 58% of total volume, demonstrating that bStocks effectively fills the gap for investors in developing countries to access US equities. Trading activity is dominated by small amounts and fractional shares, significantly lowering the entry barrier for retail investors.
Notably, the turnover rate of bStocks is substantially higher than that of the underlying US equities. Holdings are heavily concentrated in frontier tech themes: SpaceX-linked tokens account for approximately 53%, and semiconductor tokens around 37%. This concentration reflects retail investors' appetite for high-risk, high-growth tech stocks but also suggests that such tokenized products may amplify short-term volatility of the underlying assets.
