ChainCatcher reported that, according to Coinglass data, if Bitcoin falls below $62,879, the cumulative long liquidation intensity across major centralized exchanges will reach $1.233 billion. The figure refers to the estimated concentration of long-position liquidation pressure at that price level.
Two Price Levels Show Long and Short Liquidation Intensity
The same Coinglass data shows that if Bitcoin breaks above $69,411, cumulative short liquidation intensity on major centralized exchanges will reach $1.188 billion. In other words, the lower level of $62,879 corresponds to long-side liquidation intensity, while the upper level of $69,411 corresponds to short-side liquidation intensity.
Coinglass liquidation intensity data is used to observe how leveraged positions are distributed around specific price zones. The two figures cited by ChainCatcher show that, on major centralized exchanges, Bitcoin has more than $1 billion in liquidation intensity on both sides of the stated price range.
